What is Bikram Yoga?
Bikram's Beginning Yoga Class is a challenging series of 26 postures (asanas) and two breathing exercises (pranayama) which are suitable for all ages and levels of ability. Each posture stretches and strenghtens muscles, ligament and joints; preparing the body for the next posture in the series.
The Bikram Method systematically moves fresh oxygenated blood to one hundred percent of your body, to each organ and fiber, restoring all bodily systems to a healthy, working order.
Bikram Choudhury scientifically designed this 90 minute program to deliver total health through the balancing and strengthening of every system in the body in order to prevent illness, injury and limit the effects of aging.
In addition, to the physical benefits of Bikram Yoga, this series of postures combines the skills of concentration, patience, determination and self-control, which leads to increased mental clarity and reduced stress.
