What can I expect?
  • Bikram's Beginning Class is suitable for all people at any fitness level. No prior experience is necessary.
  • This is a 26 posture series in which each posture is performed twice.
  • Classes are approximately 90 minutes long. Be prepared to stay for the entire class.
  • Classes are in a heated room. Bikram Yoga Fort Lauderdale uses multiple heat sources, including radient heat panels, a clean, safe and effective way to heat the body.
How should I prepare for class?
  • Arrive at least 15 minutes prior to the start of class.
  • Wear lightweight workout attire. Women: jogging tops and sport shorts. Men: shorts with a liner of bathing suit. (sweats and baggy clothes are nbot recommended).
  • Bring a mat, towel and drinking water (available for rent of purchase).
  • Workouts should be performed on an empty stomach. Please refrain from eating two to three hours prior to class.
  • Come well-hydrated and be prepared to sweat!
What if I am not flexible?

Bikram's beginning Yoga Class is for everyone, at all levels and abilities. If you try the postures correctly and go to your "personal edge," you will receive 100% of the benefits of this yoga..

Why is the room heated?

The room is heated to warm your muscles. This allows for increased flexibility while preventing injury. The heat also promotes sweating which helps detoxify the body.
